Welcome to this month’s Message from SHARE!
We have more content than ever slated in SHARE Webcast programming thanks to an ongoing effort to provide ongoing education to our members. As Director of Cybersecurity and Year-round Education for the SHARE Board of Directors, I shared in January that part of my focus would be to work with the Security and Compliance project on year-round education.
I’m thrilled to tell you that we have officially kicked off a series of webcasts designed to provide the type of information individuals in the mainframe security industry need to do their jobs. This year-long series of webcasts will be presented by some of the top mainframe security specialists and can be credited to the incredible team behind the Security and Compliance project.
One topic area that I recommend every security professional attend is the “Top 10 Mainframe Vulnerabilities”. Each of the top 10 vulnerabilities will be presented by a different security specialist, in detail. As a preview, some of the topics in this series include:
- Improper Use or Lack of UNIXPRIV Profiles
- Inappropriate Usage of z/OS UNIX Superuser Privilege, UID = 0
- Excessive Number of User
- IDs with No Password Interval
Whether you’re a seasoned security professional or a newbie to security these sessions are a must! Learn more about the webcast series on Security and Compliance and sign up for your first session today.
