He examines new business solutions for modernized IT, and the economical positioning of IBM z Systems, along with what users need in order to adapt for the IT flexibility required in today's processes.
SHARE: At this year’s EXECUforum event, your presentation called New Workloads will talk economics and business value. What can attendees expect during your presentation?
Mild: My presentation will highlight the Economics and Business values of heterogeneous solutions in a two-speed IT world running on the IBM z Systems and IBM LinuxONE platforms. Where the future has arrived, the secure clouds and the IT modernization with DevOps and Microservices are preparing the horizon for the newest transactional revolution using Blockchain technology by securing it on the largest scalable server. At the same it will highlight the reliability and flexibility of running Linux and traditional z/OS workloads to position this server towards a software-defined datacenter.
SHARE: What are some of the key takeaways that SHARE members can expect to get from your presentation? What are some common challenges that your presentation will help solve?
Mild: The presentation will give answers about the concepts of future IT architectures and solutions. I will focus on the economical positioning of IBM z Systems, and what you need in order to adapt for the IT flexibility required in today's processes. Among the key takeaways is that you must have the flexibility, reliability and scalability for the new workloads and business solutions from existing core solutions to the integration with Open Source enterprise ready components.
