Rocket Software's acquisition of ASG Technologies comes as ASG has expanded beyond configuration management database technology used in IBM environments into infrastructure management tools, as well as business process management and content management software. Rocket Software hopes to add these capabilities to its cadre of middleware and tools employed to modernize mainframe environments.

IBM's Managed Infrastructure Services Spinoff to Operate as 'Kyndryl'
IBM spun off its managed infrastructure services unit, named Kyndryl, to streamline both entities' focus and ensure that resources are allocated effectively. Kyndryl will provide infrastructure modernization support, services management, network services, hosting, and multicloud management support to its 4,600 clients.
